Trash Climber
A downloadable game for Windows
Trash Climber is an incisive post-modern critique of consumerism and car culture in the digital age. The game takes inspiration from both the ludography of modern developer Bennet Foddy, and John Steinbeck's American classic, The Grapes of Wrath.
The game was initially unsuccessful with general audiences due to its high difficulty and primitive graphics, but recieved some acclaim with critics. Over time, the game has developed a cult following with fans who fell in love with the messaging and symbolism of the game's mechanics, and today the game has thriving modding and speedrunning communities, although never reaching the same level of popularity as its notable influences.
Enjoy the experience of finding yourself as you climb the mountain in Trash Climber, playable for the first time ever thanks to days of development from CaptainTechnicality, and always remember to have fun and stay respectful of others, even if you really don't like them!
